Glade Valley Milling Walkersville, MD c1950
PRR GE 44 Ton #9331 (class GS4) in Walkersville, MD February 11, 2016. Now privately owned, it was built in Schenectady, NY in June 1948 for the Pennsylvania Railroad. The Strasburg Railroad acquired it in 1961 where it stayed until sold and moved in 2013.
PRR 9339 (below) is also in Walkersville, MD. Privately owned (same owner as 9331). The locomotive was acquired from the South Carolina Railroad Museum in 2011. Photo Aug 2016.
Both locomotives are equipped with two Caterpillar D17000 V8 diesels producing 180 HP each.
